St John’s Point, Co. Down

Located between Newcastle and Ardglass in County Down beside the village of Killough. This Lighthouse was first lit in 1844 running on oil then later it was converted to gas then finally in 1981 to electricity. It towers 120 foot above sea level helping to guide boats down the County Down coast.
